Samantha ruth prabhu to Deccan Chronicle
“There are no such intimate scenes in this film,” informs the actress. She, however, is not against such scenes as she had a few lip-locks with Naga Chaitanya in Ye Maaye Chesava.
“Of course there were a few kisses in my previous film but this film is totally different and doesn’t demand such intimacy,” she adds.
She admits though that she had a tough time re-enacting expressions and dialogues thrice, without a break.
“That was quite challenging, as I had to stay back and repeat my words and expressions, while the male actors kept changing. However Gautham Menon put me at ease with clear-cut explanations and shored up my confidence. It might have been daunting if the director was someone else,” she points out.
She also clarifies that the T’town date clash didn’t happen due to mishandling on her part. “Everything was going well until a production house suddenly jumped in and demanded immediate dates. Otherwise, my professional slate in T-town is clean,” she reasons.
The actress, who reached the big league with films opposite stars like Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR and Ram Charan is happy with her rising status in T’town. “Luckily things are falling in place, but I have no aspirations for any slots,” she adds.
The Holy Angel school alumnus is equally excited about her K’town film with Mani Ratnam. “It’s more than a dream come true for me. Though my work is yet to commence, I am looking forward to working with such a revered filmmaker,” she says.
Although she is getting offers from the Telugu and Tamil industries, the actress is going slow and would like to complete her current assignments.
“A good number of offers are there but I am not in a hurry since I would like to take up new assignments only after finishing my existing ones,” she adds.
Gautham’s film is her B’town debut. But she does not have big B’town aspirations. “Let me gauge the audience response, then I can think of B’town plans,” she says.
Samantha is scaling new heights with endorsements — charging Rs 50 lakh for a few days’ work. “I enjoyed endorsing some brands and I am now discussing with a national brand; but I am unable to take more endorsements due to lack of time from my film assignments,” she says.
