The South actor turns 26 years old on April 28
Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who is celebrating her birthday today, is one happy girl. For one thing, her career is going very well. In just about three years in the film world, she’s got 20 films to her name, and that’s some achievement, given all the competition around.Samantha was noticed in her very first film, Ye Maya Chesave, Gautham Menon’s well-crafted romance in 2010. She also did a cameo on the Tamil version of the film, Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaya and the Bollywood remake, Ek Deewana Tha. Samantha’s other notable performances were in Baana Kaathadi and Dookudu.
She came into her own with last year’s hit, Eega, Rajamouli’s film that was also released in Tamil as Naan Ee. Samantha also featured in Gautham Menon’s 2012 film Neethaane En Ponvasantham. Both films won her the best actor’s award.
Her 2013 releases have been Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu and Jabardasth in which she was paired opposite Siddharth. Siddharth and Samantha, are widely rumoured to be seeing each other and marriage seems on the cards as well.
