Four years ago, the 34 years old actress, Heather Lind claimed that the
former US president groped her from behind while they posed for a photo with
her and also the other stars of AMC series namely Turn: Washington’s Spies.
Furthermore, Lind's British co-star Kevin McNally, who was likewise
there in the snap, has now split his hush to back up her claims. The creator of
the Washington's Spies series Alexander Rose, additionally backed up Lind's
claims today.
Bush apologized to Lind after her current decision to open up to the
world about the claim. In an announcement, a representative for him stated:
"At age 93, President Bush has been bound to a wheelchair for
approximately five years, so his arm falls on the lower waist of individuals
with whom he takes pictures.”
In an Instagram post, Lind blamed Bush for touching her "from
behind from his wheelchair also with his wife Barbara Bush standing close
by", including that he cracked her a "dirty joke". She stated:
"When I found the opportunity to meet George HW Bush four years prior for
promoting a historical TV show I was taking a shot at, he sexually ambushed me
while I was posturing for the same photograph. He didn't shake my hand. He
touched me from behind.” The 34-year-old also claimed that his better half Barbara
Bush "rolled her eyes" at Bush, "as though to state 'not
again".
Lind said her kind cast members and makers knew about what happened and
were supportive after the claimed incident.
In an announcement to the daily paper, the ex-president stated: "President
Bush could never, under any situation deliberately cause trouble to anybody,
and He most genuinely apologizes if his endeavour at humour outraged Ms
Lind."
